LSA Theatre students become involved in a variety of school and community events. Below are descriptions of some of these events and accompanying photos.
Blue & Gold variety show is a student-written production led by a dedicated team of teachers and has been a Laval tradition for 40+ years!
Students in the Theatre Concentration program enjoy their high school experiences to the fullest and are encouraged to get involved in as many school events and performances as possible. Theatre students frequently write skits and perform in these shows as actors, singers and dancers.
Many Theatre Concentration students volunteer to reach out to the Laval community each year at our annual Open House event. Theatre students dress up in costumes, operate our Theatre photobooth, hand out flyers, and answer questions and share their experiences in the program with prospective students and their parents.
A night of food, entertainment and raffle prizes hosted by Laval Senior Academy. LSA Theatre program students make signs, decorations, and help set up for the event. During the event itself, Theatre students are in charge of operating the photo booth, face painting and making balloon animals!
Pink in the City is a non profit grassroots charity organization dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and funds for the acquisition of specialized medical equipment at the MUHC.
In October of 2019, one of Theatre Concentration's own, Sarah Brassard, raised over $2,600 for Pink in the City and shaved her head during the Raise Craze at the MUHC. She also volunteered to help at their annual gala at Embassy Plaza. Sarah invited her parents, several of her friends from LSA, and her Theatre teachers to support her at these events!
