Tech Crew

GENERAL INFO

Students applying to the Tech Crew must be willing to work hard and get their hands dirty. The Tech Crew is responsible for designing, building and painting sets for our plays and musicals. Being a member of the Tech Crew involves working with tools, paint, lighting, sound, props, costumes, etc.

BACKSTAGE CREW

Tech Crew students set each scene, organize props, handle curtains, follow cues and, in general, are responsible for ensuring that each show runs smoothly.

Sound & Lighting

Students interested in learning how to operate sound and lighting equipment are given the opportunity to learn the ropes during play rehearsals and on show nights. Professional sound and lighting equipment is rented for our productions.

MEDIA & PROMOTION

Students interested in photography, videography and photoshop have the opportunity to develop their skills. Photos and videos are taken regularly in preparation for promotional materials for our annual musical, school events, and for end-of-year memories videos.

Please Note:

Theatre Concentration is a demanding and rewarding program, both for actors and the Tech Crew. Please note that preparation for our annual spring musical will require students to be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as during pedagogical days.
