Dear Pacer Families,

Happy October! As the autumn season begins, we are wrapping up a busy and successful start to the school year. The end of our first nine-week grading period is fast approaching on Friday, October 2. I want to personally thank everyone who took the time out of their busy day to participate in parent/teacher conferences. Final quarter grades will be finalized by Monday, October 12 and accessible through Skyward on Thursday. We encourage you to sit down with your child to review their achievements, celebrate their hard work, and discuss goals for the second quarter.

With the close of the first quarter comes our upcoming Fall Break, which will run from October 5th through October 9th, with school resuming on October 12. We hope all of our students and staff enjoy a restful and safe break with family and friends.

Around this time, our underclassmen (9th, 10th, and 11th graders) will also participate in PSAT testing during the school day on October 20th. The PSAT offers valuable practice for college entrance exams and connects students to National Merit Scholarship opportunities. Please help your student prepare by ensuring they get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast.

Additionally, this month we are highlighting our "Device Light" Initiative. We encourage any students who participate in after-school activities, athletics, or clubs to bring their at-home chromebook to school. Having their device in their backpack of study halls, downtime before practice, or waiting periods after school to complete their homework and stay on top of their studies before practice or games. We ask that they treat their "at-home" device like their phone during the day and they stay in their backpack and powered off. 

If your child drives to school, please make sure they have a parking permit to park in the student parking lot. Parking permits are $5 and your child will need their license, insurance and registration. You can purchase the permits in the office. Please have your child do so immediately. 

Report cards will be sent digitally to the email on file in Skyward on Thursday, October 15th. Prior to October 15th, I ask that you check your email in Skyward for accuracy.
