Dear Families,

Can you believe it is already April? Spring has officially arrived, and with it comes one of the most energetic and important stretches of the school year. Our classrooms are buzzing with growth, and we have a packed calendar designed to celebrate our students' hard work while staying focused on our goals.

This month, our 3rd through 6th-grade students will begin ILEARN. We’ve seen how hard our students and teachers have worked all year, and now it’s their time to shine!

We want our students to feel calm and confident. You can help us set them up for success by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time and ready to go. A little extra encouragement at home goes a long way in helping them do their best! Testing will start the week of April 13th.

One of my favorite events is returning! Please join us for our Literacy Picnic on Friday, April 10th! This is a special time for you to come to school, share lunch with your child, and spend time reading together.

To make the day even sweeter, DonutNV will be on-site with fresh treats, and our Scholastic Book Fair will be in full swing. It’s the perfect time to find a new favorite story to take home.

We are in the home stretch of our Hog Raffle fundraiser! We are so grateful for your efforts in supporting our school. These fundraisers help us keep our school supplies FREE for families, our Back to School Bash for FREE, pay for ALL fuel for Field Trips during the entire school year and much, much more!

Midterm Reports will be sent home on Monday, April 27. Please review these with your child to celebrate their progress as we head into the final weeks of the school year.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for making our school community so special. We can’t wait to see you at the picnic!

Warmly

Ashley Kitts, Principal
