Joining band or strings class

Registration for this school year has ended. We are looking forward to showing off the student's progress at an upcoming performance. Please check the Home page for concert dates.

Instrument fittings

An instrument fitting is a time where a student sits down with a professional and tries certain instruments. While most students can play any instrument, certain considerations may make one instrument a better "fit" for the student than another.

instrument buying guide

There are many ways to purchase a used, high-quality instrument. Following our buying guide below can help your child start on an instrument that will allow them to be successful for many years. The instrument brands listed on our buying guide have been found to be more reliable and higher quality than new instruments from sites like amazon.com.

Families may also have an instrument at home from a family member that they wish to use. Most of the time this can be arranged. Students still need to be checked and fitted to make sure that they will be successful on that instrument and that the instrument is the correct size for them.

Students are expected to bring pre-owned instruments to a music teacher or music store before the first day of class so any necessary repairs or maintenance can be discussed with parents and completed before the instrument is used by the student.
