This is my 25th year teaching in Swampscott! I feel very lucky to be working with a great team of teachers. I grew up in Michigan, went to Michigan State University (go Spartans!) and attended Boston University for graduate school. Loving the area, I decided to stay. I come from a long line of teachers and love reading. When I am not teaching, I love to travel, cook and eat! I am looking forward to another great year!

I'm very happy to be starting my 12th year at the Swampscott Public Schools. I love music, art, history, and culture. Like my colleagues, I am very happy to get back to teaching, and getting us all back to a regular routine. Looking forward to the new school year!

Science with Lindsey McKeen Polizzotti "Dr. P"
I'm so excited to start my 15th year of teaching, 10th year as part of the 7th Grade Swampscott Middle School Team. From a young age I always loved science and earned degrees in biomedical engineering and biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I am passionate about science🔬, developing growth mindsets🌱🧠, composting🌎, and more. I am inspired easily and constantly coming up with more ideas than I have time to process, but on that note I am so excited to be innovative this year and keep science fun and interactive for my students. You might see me around town with my two boys at sports games, looking for sea glass on the beach, or grabbing my favorite ice cream treat from Kells or the Cookie Monstah! I am beyond excited to help my students grow, take risks, and learn this year!

This will be my 18th year teaching middle school math and 7th year on the 7th grade team at Swampscott Middle School! I've taught 7th grade math for 12 years!! I've always loved math and showing everyone how fun and interesting it can be. I'm really excited to teach, learn, and grow during this school year!

Bonjour tout le monde ! This year is my 12th year teaching French at SMS and I am thrilled to be sharing it with all of you. Studying languages has always been my biggest passion, with French holding the #1 spot in my heart as it is the language of my ancestors. I love traveling and exploring the world, getting to know new people and cultures in ways I never could without my language skills. In addition to languages and travel, I also love paddleboarding, running, photography, volleyball and snuggling my cat and dog, Minou & Brumby. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and learning what your passions & goals are!

My name is Mrs. Gotch, and I am very excited to be returning to teach yet another year at Swampscott Middle School! Even after teaching 20 years, I still love it! My love for the Spanish language started when I was very young and dreamed about being able to travel, especially to Spain! After years of learning Spanish in school, I went on to further my understanding attending Penn State where I majored in Spanish and had the opportunity to live abroad for the year in Spain.
