EY Sports Day
Written by Mr. Victor
Our most recent Early Years Sports Day was a fun and exciting celebration of movement and teamwork! The students showed the skills they had been practicing all year like running, jumping, throwing, balancing, and more. What made this Sports Day extra special was how the older students were paired with the younger ones. It was heartwarming to see how the older kids helped and cheered on their younger teammates. They held their hands, gave them high-fives, and made sure everyone felt brave and included. This showed us the true meaning of sportsmanship which is not only about competing and winning but lifting each other up. Everyone tried their best, had fun, and celebrated together. The smiles, laughter, and teamwork made this a day to remember. We are so proud of all the students for showing strength, kindness, and joy through play!
TODDLER - Maths
Written by Ms. Jill
Dear Mommies and Daddies,
It has been so much fun learning about shapes in school!
Our favourite nursery rhyme right now is "Humpty Dumpty". We giggle every time we drop onto the mat—just like Mr. Humpty Dumpty! We even learnt how to make a big oval shape with our arms to look like him. We felt a little sad when Mr. Humpty fell and broke, but we were happy to help put him back together by adding his arms and legs.
Thank you for helping us draw eyes and a smile on our Humpty Dumpty puzzle—it made him look happy again!
We also had an exciting outdoor activity where we searched for ovals and hearts painted on the pavement. Then, we painted them with coloured water! After that, we drew lots of funny pictures with chalk before having the best time blowing and chasing bubbles.
So much fun!
Love,
Toddler Class
NURSERY - Indonesian Language
Written by Ms. Pingkan
This term, our Nursery students enjoyed a fun and exciting learning journey! They explored the world around them through songs, stories, art, play, and hands-on activities. Our main topics included the solar system, sky and weather, traditional instruments, Indonesian clothing, and transportation.
We began with the solar system, where students learnt the names of the planets. They were excited to discover that Earth is the planet we live on. One of their favourite moments was exploring solar system toys, where they could see and gently touch the moving planets. They were curious about the shapes and colours and how the planets orbit the Sun.
Next, we learnt about things in the sky, such as the Sun, Moon, clouds, stars, and rain. Through a special water play activity, students used cotton balls and water to see how rain falls from clouds. It was a fun and creative way to understand weather.
Students also learned about traditional rhythmic instruments made from recycled materials. They played drums and shakers, and even made their own tambourines using paper plates. They discovered that instruments can make sounds by striking, shaking, or blowing.
On Kartini Day, students came to school wearing traditional Indonesian clothes. Then they learned the difference between batik and kebaya by looking at photo slides and talking about the unique patterns and styles. It was a joyful celebration of culture and heritage.
To finish the term, we learnt about transportation. Students named different types of vehicles and talked about how people travel. They also learnt the names of each vehicle’s drivers, such as a pilot, train conductor, and a bus driver. A fun listening game helped them guess the sound of each vehicle.
Term 4 was filled with joyful learning, new experiences, and proud moments. Our Nursery students showed curiosity, creativity, and growth in every activity.

Letter Writting Fun
Literacy comes to life through a mix of games, exploration, and teamwork in our Pre-K classroom. Children build early reading and writing skills while playing with recyclables and markers, tracing letters in the air and in the sand, or acting out stories with friends. By blending active play, quiet individual activities, and group collaboration, we ensure every type of learner—whether they love moving, creating, or observing—finds a joyful path to literacy. Another addition to the fun was the ABC countdown to the last day of school wherein students look forward to each letter and activity that will be done for the day.
The key is balance. Energetic games keep engagement high, while sensory letter practice helps focused learners thrive. Meanwhile, group storytelling and songs foster social skills and a love for language together. No matter how a child learns best, our goal is the same: to make literacy not just a lesson but an adventure they’ll love!
Parents can support this journey at home, too! Simple activities like reading aloud together, playing "I Spy" with letter sounds, or encouraging children to "write" grocery lists with scribbles and invented spelling reinforce classroom learning. When literacy is woven into everyday moments, children naturally grow into confident, curious readers and writers.

K1 - Music
Written by Ms. Melissa
Our K1 students have been enthusiastically exploring the world of music by learning and mastering the concepts of beat and rhythm. Through a variety of fun, hands-on, and engaging lessons, they are developing a strong musical foundation that supports not only their auditory skills but also their sense of timing and pattern recognition. Each session brings new opportunities for the children to discover how rhythm connects to movement, sound, and expression.
As part of their preparation for the upcoming year-end performance, the children have taken on an exciting and challenging new element—incorporating cup movements into their routine. This rhythmic cup activity adds a dynamic visual aspect to their performance and has quickly become a class favourite. More importantly, it supports the development of essential motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination, concentration, and precise timing.
Although it requires patience and practice, K1 students are rising to the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. It's truly inspiring to see their confidence grow as they work together in rhythm and harmony. We are incredibly proud of their progress and can’t wait to see them shine during the year-end performance, where all their hard work and creativity will come to life on stage.
