Term 2 is an extraordinary time for the children in K2 class as they have successfully demonstrated their achievements through the learning process in every meeting. Discussing various themes and exploring new vocabulary helps them delve deeper into the concepts they have learned. One of their favourite moments is during dictation, where they can feel the pride of mastering new vocabulary and confidently writing it down. Furthermore, they are also learning to read simple sentences, and some of them have even become capable of writing these sentences.
Term 2 concludes with an assessment test aimed at measuring the extent to which the children's learning abilities have developed. It truly doesn't go unnoticed how smoothly and successfully the learning process has unfolded in Term 2.
Congratulations to the K2 children! May this success serve as motivation for them to continue growing with high spirits.

ES Gratitude Tree
Written by Jr. Stuco
It is the season of giving, and the ES Gratitude Tree is back. Jr. Stuco initiated this project because we wanted more decorations on the tree as a part of the ornamental display and an interactive seasonal display. The Gratitude Tree is used every year for the ES students to express their thankfulness and gratitude. With decoration and a star on top, the tree is filled with stockings/bird crafts made by the Jr. Stuco.
Members from Jr. Stuco created paper stockings and prepared bird-shaped templates which were distributed to all ES students during one of the assemblies. The Jr. Stuco ensured that every student in ES had a chance to express their gratitude through writing.
Through this project, we have learned the importance of being grateful for what we have and the value of appreciating the awesome support from our friends and family. The ES Gratitude Tree not only enhances the festive atmosphere but also fosters positive emotions, improves health, and builds strong relationships.

Grade 2 PSD - Study Plan Bingo!
Written by Ms. Lecya
Exam week can be quite stressful for our students. On the other hand, stress can also be a good thing, as long as we use it as a warning on how important the trigger is and motivate ourselves to have better preparation. Thus, the counsellors guided students to prepare for the exam week. Effective exam preparation not only leads to better performance but also contributes to the development of important life skills.
The materials were given a week before the exam. A lecture and discussion were conducted to identify the appropriate study skills such as preparing a conducive study corner, removing distractions, and having a 10-minute break after 30 minutes of studying. To motivate students to try various study skills, they created a Study Plan Bingo. The option was provided, and then they chose which strategies or skills they wanted to try and paste into the given template. They can give a checklist of each strategy they have tried. Once they complete a row or column, it's a Bingo!

"The Transformative Journey of Third-Grade Learners"
In our third-grade classroom, a transformation is happening as students eagerly embrace the power of working and facing academic challenges head-on. These young learners are not simply absorbing information; they are actively engaged in an experience.
Collaborative learning steps into the spotlight, creating an atmosphere that honours and celebrates the spirit of teamwork. Through group projects and interactive activities, the Grade 3’s are honing their communication skills. They actively exchange their thoughts and engage in "Maths Talk”. Mikhail, Konrad, Hugh and Pradipto make commendable contributions as they eagerly present to the class the way they solve problems. This collaborative spirit extends beyond academics preparing them for a future where cooperation is highly valued.
As they tackle hurdles, these young minds are developing resilience and perseverance. Whether it's unravelling maths concepts or navigating logical tasks, they are discovering the thrill of problem-solving and the satisfaction of conquering obstacles.
As we also engage in reasoning and logical thinking exercises, it adds a dimension to their learning journey. From puzzles to games, these activities encourage thinking, pattern recognition, and deductive reasoning. Third grade serves as a stage where collaboration, resilience, and logical thinking come together to shape rounded learners who can adapt to different situations.
Grade 4 Bahasa Indonesia
Written by Ms. Junita and Ms. Marcel
In the fourth-grade Indonesian language classes, both in ILA and ILL, students engage in more than just reading and writing exercises; they delve into the rich cultural tapestry of Indonesia. A highlight activity involves introducing students to traditional Indonesian games, such as Bola Bekel and Cublak - Cublak Suweng. In ILA, students learn the games hands-on, enhancing their motor skills and precision. In ILL, cultural aspects are emphasised through discussions and reflective writing in Indonesian. This not only hones their language skills but also fosters a profound understanding of the cultural values embedded in these traditional games.
Overall, these activities serve as a delightful and educational gateway into Indonesia's cultural heritage, fostering language skills while instilling an appreciation for the colourful cultural legacy.
Grade 5 ICT
Written by Mr. Aldrin
In fifth grade, students embark on an exciting coding journey by diving into the concepts of variables and algorithms. Variables, akin to labelled containers, become the building blocks for dynamic programming, allowing young learners to store and manipulate data. Scratch, with its user-friendly interface, serves as an ideal playground for introducing these concepts. Through engaging projects like interactive stories and animated characters, students not only grasp the essence of variables but also cultivate algorithmic thinking. As they progress from simple arithmetic operations to more complex scenarios involving multiple variables, students develop critical thinking skills and lay a solid foundation for future programming endeavours.
In the Scratch coding environment, students explore the dynamic interaction between variables and algorithms, enhancing their problem-solving skills and fostering creativity. Whether it's crafting conditional statements for decision-making or orchestrating animated scenes, the visual nature of Scratch empowers grade 5 learners to bring their ideas to life. This early exposure to coding principles not only equips students with essential computational skills but also ignites a passion for technology, setting the stage for further exploration in the ever-evolving landscape of programming.
