CONGRATULATIONS
President's Cup Wushu National Championship 2022
Congratulations to Grade 11 Kylie, who is a member of the DKI Wushu Team, for winning 2 gold medals in the Girls' Jianshu and Qianshu (sword and spear) categories, 1 bronze medal in the girls' ChangQuang (empty hands/long fist) category in the Wushu National Championship 2022. DKI Wushu Team was the overall champion and will keep the Indonesian President's Cup Trophy until the next edition of the National Championship next year.
The championship took place in Graha Unesa Surabaya from September 18th-21st. 450 athletes from 20 provinces of Indonesia participated in this year's Wushu National Championship.
The Jakarta Masters 2022
Congratulations to Grade 7 Adriana, who joined the Introductory to Preliminary U16. She was riding her horse Shankara and got the 4th place in Preliminary German Test 1. The competition took place in Arthayasa Stable Depok on Thursday, July 28th, 2022.
National Chess Competition for Middle School Students
Congratulations to Grade 8 Mikail, for achieving rank 27th out of 336 participants in the National Chess Competition. The qualification round was held on September 17th - 18th, 2022.
SEPTEMBER UNIVERSITY FAIR

On Tuesday 20th August, 25 University Admissions representatives from top US and Canadian Universities shared information on their programs to the SWA School Community. Students and parents enjoyed a quick presentation followed by our first in-person University fair since before the pandemic. It was great to finally be able to interact face to face with so many universities and students left the fair with lots of information and renewed enthusiasm and motivation for their university applications. These fairs provide a unique opportunity for students to meet admissions officers, in most cases the officers visiting the school will be the same ones reading the applications from the school and making admissions decisions later on.

What does inclusive teaching and learning mean?
It means that we use every opportunity to:
respects the learners diversity
enables all learners to take part in learning and fulfil their potential
ensures different learning needs and preferences are met, regardless of their backgrounds, learning styles or abilities
removes any barriers that prevent learners from learning
Why is inclusiveness important in education?
Inclusive systems increase a better quality education for all children and are effective in promoting equity and changing discriminatory attitudes. It enables the development of social interactions and relationships.

SWA FOOD SERVICE OCTOBER 3rd - 7th
We heard your feedback and SWA food service is now ready to serve starting from 07:00 am. The SWA community can enjoy a variety of healthy breakfast and fuel up before starting their daily activities.
A healthy diet does not only support a child's growth and development but also has profound impact on their mental and emotional wellbeing. With the tasty and healthy choices in the SWA Canteen, students can easily buy food and enjoy school meals.
Parents can now take out the stress from planning the weekly menu and simply order from the SWA food service in this link or get the form from the canteen staff in Bamboo Court. Please fill out the form by Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the latest. Payment can be made through school ID Card or QRIS.
Don't forget to bring your own cutlery for hygiene purposes.
