StageCraft:
The Magic Behind the Curtain
Ever wonder what happens backstage? In StageCraft, students become part of the team that makes the magic happen! From building and painting sets to creating props, learning lights and sound, and running the student stage crew, participants get hands-on experience in all things theater. It’s the perfect way for kids—especially those who may be too shy to perform on stage—to dive into the excitement, teamwork, and creativity that bring The Lion King Jr. to life, all while discovering their own special role in the show!
Want to join StageCraft this year?
Have your child come say hi and answer a few fun, low-stress questions in a short interview. Students can write down their answers if that makes them feel more confident. All students are accepted into StageCraft, no matter what they share—this is just a chance to get to know them and their interests so we can shape the 15 week program accordingly!
StageCraft Interview Questions:
1. What do you like to do outside of school? (Hobbies, clubs, activities)
2. Why do you want to be apart of the musical behind the scenes this year ?
3. Is there any part of theater you would like to know more about? (Costumes, Set Design and Building, Lights, Directing, Choreography, Stage Management, Props, Sound/Music, etc.)
4. How do you feel about learning new skills you’ve never tried before?
