Want to join the backstage crew? We’d love for your child to come say hi and answer a few fun, low-stress questions with Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. Eggemeyer. Students can absolutely write down their answers if that makes them feel more confident.
Important: There’s no right or wrong thing to share—this is just a chance for us to connect, learn about each student’s interests, and celebrate their creativity.
StageCraft Interview Questions:
What do you like to do outside of school? (Hobbies, clubs, activities)
Why do you want to be a part of the musical behind the scenes this year?
Is there any part of theater you’d like to learn more about? (Costumes, set design and building, lights, directing, choreography, stage management, props, sound/music, etc.)
How do you feel about learning new skills you’ve never tried before?
Can you tell me about a time you helped someone or worked as a team?
Creative Activity: Drawing of Lion King Scene
After the interview questions, students will show the interviewers a pre-drawn scene from the Lion King.
They can design any scene from The Lion King Jr. that inspires them.
They can add any fun twists or interpretations that they would like to the drawing.
There are no right or wrong answers—this is a chance for students to express their creativity and explore the visual side of storytelling.
We’re excited to meet your child and see their creativity shine backstage!
