Books and Articles
The following books may be useful for you to have specific conversations about various issues with your child. Some of the books are used in our counseling lessons and groups to help children think about certain topics from a different perspective, and have thoughtful conversation. According to Cook, Brodsky, Morizio and Walker (2018), engaging children in shared reading builds a passion for books and interest in learning, while also providing a framework for social/emotional skill acquisition. If you need a book recommendation for a topic not listed please contact the counseling team.
