The grading system tests a submitted problem by feeding it sets of inputs and comparing its results, called cases. One case will be shown as an example when viewing problems during the competition, known as the example case. Additionally, there are often several more test cases that will not be publicly known, but will be tested to confirm accuracy.
No fees at all, the competition is free of charge. There is no cost associated with any part of the competition.
Yes. Coaches will need to be present at the competition in the same room/environment as their teams.
Yes. Teams from the same school will be placed within close vicinity, so coaches will have no issues supervising their students if need be.

The most effective way is to complete these problems with your team, so that you have an understanding of how they work. Additionally the problem sets from previous completions are posted under each year. You can find the problems from last year on this page
If you put in the hard work then Yes! Under Training Materials on our website we have videos that are listed on the bottom of the website that run through the beginnings of python. We suggest that students who are new choose one of the three videos and work alongside these videos over the course of the year.
