In JROTC, we wear uniforms to build discipline and esprit decor, which means a feeling of fellowship, loyalty, and pride among a group. It gives an appearance of professionalism and a sense of responsibility.
Class A: When wearing class As, you have the beret, grey shirt, neck tab/tie, coat, pants, belt, & shoes.
Beret: The flash is 1 in above the left eye. The Jrotc insignia or grade/rank is centered on the flash.
Shirt: The shirt is bare and only has the neck tab/tie
Coat
Officers: The JROTC emblem is Perpendicular to the lapel facing inward. Everything else on the uniform is the same as enlisted.
Enlisted: The Corps insignia (torches) are parallel to the inside edge of the lapel while the bottom of the torch is 1in from the lapel notch for males and 5/8in for females.
Ranks are centered on the shoulder loop, 5/8in from outside shoulder seam. Higher-level cords go on the left shoulder.
The nameplate is centered between the top and bottom of the pocket. The star is 1/4 in above the top of the pocket. The JROTC insignia is also 1/4 in above the star. Ribbons are centered horizontally 1/8 in above the left pocket. Arc pins are centered between the bottom of the pocket flap and the bottom of the pocket. If there are multiple, space them 1/8 in apart.
The nameplate is on the right side 1-2 in above the top button, centered horizontally. The star is 1/4 in above the nameplate and the JROTC insignia is 1/4 in above the star. Ribbons are aligned to the bottom of the nameplate on the left side of the uniform and centered. Arc pins are also centered on the right side of the uniform, 1/8 in apart, 1-2 in below second button from top.
The belt is put on towards the right. The excess should come from the last loop on the left side. Your gig line (alignment of the seam of the uniform shirt, belt buckle, and uniform trouser fly-seam) should be straight. Make sure back pockets stay buttoned.

Shoes should always be clean, and laces should always be tucked in. Your socks are to be solid black only.
