INTRODUCTION
Welcome to 5th grade! My name is Mrs. McCahan. I am the 5th grade Math teacher. This is my eleventh year of teaching, all in Sandy Valley.
In my free time I enjoy singing in the church choir, volunteering in the community through the North Canton Jaycees, and spending time with my friends and family.
MY EDUCATION
I graduated from Heidelberg University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Middle School Math and Science and K-12 Intervention Specialist. In August 2017, I completed my Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Teaching in the 21st Century from Ashland University.

My husband and I had our first son in August 2022 and are enjoying watching him grow up each day!

MY YOUTH
I attended Perry Local Schools in Massillon. I am an only child and enjoyed music growing up. I took dance classes for 10 years and can tap dance! I was also in band, choir, speech, and theater at Perry High School.
