Grading Policy

Google Classroom will be the main platform through which assignments and grades are tracked for students. Due dates will be determined WELL in advance and given to students ahead of time as we develop a good work ethic and the helpful study skills necessary at the high school level. The grading policies below prioritize student engagement in class and create an environment where students of all ability levels and learning styles can succeed.

Grading Breakdown:

Projects - 30%     Classwork/Homework - 30%        Tests/Quizzes - 20%        Writing - 20%

Late Work Policy:

• Students have until the end of the day an assignment is due to turn it in for full credit

• All late work is eligible for up to 50% credit; all late work is due ONE WEEK before the end of the quarter

• Absences do not extend deadlines, especially for long-term assignments

• In the event of an absence, it is the student's responsibility to see me for missed work

• Plagiarism or the use of AI for any assignment will result in an automatic 0
