Since this is a dual credit course, there are grade components that are computed for a course average at Sauquoit Valley including a midterm, which will not be included in the college course grade.
The Sauquoit Valley Course Grade will be based on:
In -Class Average (80%) computed as described below
Midterm (10%)
Final Project (10%)
At the end of the semester, a 10 point adder will be applied to your semester average in the Sauquoit GPA only, bringing it up to a maximum of 100 points. However, the raw score is what will be applied to your MVCC transcript.
In-Semester Class Work Weighting
Chapter Summaries 10% Lab Grades 25%**
In-Class Assignments 15% Quizzes 30%

MVCC Grade Conversion
** Lab grade MUST be at least 60% or automatically fail CH141
Your semester averages will be used, with each semester accounting for 21.25% of the grade, and the ACS Final Exam weighted at 15%. This score will then be converted to a letter grade as follows:
Grade

A = Excellent, >90%

B = Good, 80 - 84%
C+ = 75 - 79%
C = Average, 70 - 74%
