Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus,
AP Calculus
As with expectations, grading policy remains consistent across all three classes and appears below.
Exams
Tests will be announced in advance and each exam will be equally weighted. You will have approximately 4 - 6 exams per quarter. Collectively, this will account for 85% of your average for the quarter.
The remaining 15% will be your homework average for the quarter.
Absence the day before a test does not excuse you from taking the test.
If you are absent the day of an exam, be prepared to take the exam the day you return.
Homework Policy:
Homework will be assigned daily and assignments and will vary in length. It is critical that you complete all assignments.
Each day we will begin the lesson by going over the assignment before proceeding on to new material.
Some homework will be physically collected and other assignments will need to be submitted to Google Classroom. All submitted assignments (unless otherwise specified) will be scored based on a scale of 1, 2, 3, 4. Organization, content, and completeness are all a part of your total score. Please submit google classroom assignments by scanning the documents using the PDF format.
In order to receive full credit, homework must be turned in on time and be neatly organized. Incomplete or illegible papers will receive little or no credit.
If you are absent, make sure that you submit the assignment(s) that you have missed on the day of of your return.
Work not handed in for any reason, will receive a grade of zero.
Homework will comprise 15% of your quarter average.
There may be time during the class period to begin (or even complete) your homework. It is important that you utilize this time wisely as it allows you the opportunity to try out the new content before leaving the classroom and receive immediate feedback on your progress.
