Sitting atop the once Mt. Mazama, and being the result of millions of years of volcanic and tectonic activity, Crater Lake National Park is one of the most renowned destinations that the National Park Service has to offer. Reaching almost 2000' deep at it's lowest point, it is the deepest lake in the USA and the 2nd deepest in the whole of North America.
