Before this National Park was formed and before we can appreciate its Geologic Features, let us establish a timeline of the events that took place on the surface for the formation to occur, as well as the newfound Hazards that can come with a history such as this.
Crater Lake, being volcanic, has many hazards, including the fact that it could erupt again. The pressure of the Volcanic structure is based on many factors, primarily the new vents within the Caldera and the combination of the depth of the lake's water and the gas pocket amounts in the magma. All of these factors together could make for a Volcanic eruption.
