Collaboration

We believe that the sum of the parts is greater than the individual. In other words, when there are two Headteachers in dialogue you double the number of great ideas, opinions and attitudes than one on their own. Two Heads of Geography will complement each others approaches to the Geography curriculum. The planning of capital projects can draw from the wider experience of two schools than just the one and procurement and commissioning of services can be more cost effective when doing so on behalf of more than one school on its own. We think this logic is irrefutable. The Trust's job is to create the environment and conditions for collaborative work to be meaningful and impactful. Ultimately, collaborative work has to benefit the children in at least one of the schools involved if it is to be worth the effort of making it happen. However, each interaction has the possibility, or even probability, of teaching everyone involved with the work something of benefit to their own professional development or that of their community.
