The University of Arizona clinic comes to Los Ranchitos weekly. They do family medicine appointments. Walk-ins were also available before the Pandemic.
The Prenatal program is here every Friday 1-5
Once a month they provide Ultrasounds
Late Clinic appointments provided from 4-7 p.m.
Please visit Rooms 107 and 105 for Clinic rooms
The clinic is free, no insurance needed.
Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers is a home visiting model that provides services to pregnant women and families with children from birth to kindergarten.
We serve the Sunnyside community by offering the following free services:
Monthly home visits from a Sunnyside Parents as Teachers Educator to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development.
Resources to help refine parenting practices, increasing children’s school readiness and success.
Vision, hearing and developmental screeners.
Group events for families including Library Story Hour, Stay and Play, and family field trips.
“Dad and Me” opportunities.
Community resource connections.

Sunnyside Foundation serves the Sunnyside and greater southside community by providing the following resources:
Emergency Relief (ERF) for SUSD families, including utility and internet assistance. SUSD families can apply once a semester for up to $300 of support. Refer families here. Please provide a copy of the bill(s) that assistance is needed with.
Food Support for SUSD families. We provide grocery store gift cards for immigrant families, refugee families, homeless families, and YOTO/unaccompanied or homeless youth . Refer families here. Please indicate food/grocery store gift cards are needed.
Excellence in Education (EIE) is a mini-grant program for SUSD educators. We encourage you to apply for up to 1k per project! Apply here.
Eviction and Rental Assistance Prevention (ERAP) for immigrant families living in the City of Tucson. Families can receive assistance paying up to a year on back rental and utility payments and up to three months of future payments. Refer families here.
On the referral, please indicate that the family is interested in more information on the ERAP Program.

We provide an individually designed program of instruction to help them meet their full potential.

Homebound
The SUSD Homebound program provides academic instruction to students in Exceptional Education, General Education, whose physical or mental health requires them to be out of school for not less than three months or intermittent periods of time totaling three months.
Students may only qualify if their Medical Certification form has been approved by a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy and on approval from the Homebound Coordinator.
504
504 plans are formal plans that schools develop to give kids with disabilities the support they need and covers any condition that limits daily activities in a major way.

Alternative Pathways & SOSA K-8 Education Programs
Alternative Pathways program allows students in short term crises to press the “restart” button”. We offer credit recovery options in a small learning environment that infuses PBIS, Character Education and SEL. Pathways offers small classroom settings at Desert View and Sunnyside.
Native American Education Program

The mission of the Native American Education Program is to recognize the unique cultural and educational needs of Native American students by providing the students, their families, and staff with tools and resources that are both culturally appropriate and meet the District’s standards.
