Below are the three documents that form your Chapter Charter packet. Your Chapter leads will soon receive a message from a member of SURJ staff (if you haven’t already) asking to schedule a meeting to discuss these charter documents. During that meeting, you can ask questions about the documents and the chartering process, so we recommend members who attend that meeting read them beforehand to best support your Chapter’s decision making process. Thank you!
Please note: the Chapter Agreement you see above is a sample document. During your meeting with staff, you will share all the details we need to customize it with your Charter’s name, logo, etc. The customized version will be sent to you for signature after the meeting is complete.
Feb 2: National will share both the Legal and the Relational Charter documents with each chapter.
Feb 2–27: Chapters and SURJ staff will meet individually to touch base and discuss any questions you have about the Chartering documents.
Mar 2–13: Chapters have time to deliberate and make their decisions about Chartering and sign/notify National.
Mar 16: Chapter signatures are due on Chartering documents!
Late Mar/Early Apr: SURJ National hosts an online Chapter convening for all newly Chartered Chapters (details to follow) 🥳
