Block by Block Captains:
This might look like signing up for a phonebank or campaign call, reaching out to people to build your Crew, or making a plan to attend an upcoming mobilization in your community.
Block by Block Organizers:
Check-in with your captains! See how they are doing with finding their crew, ask them if they’ve signed up for their phonebanks, ask them how it went.
Start planning ways to bring your team together, like hosting a phonebank party or a recruitment coworking session, so everyone can support one another and stay on track with their commitments.

Whether you're ready to step into a Captain or Organizer role, there's still time to get involved. Learn more about the Block by Block campaign in the Toolkit, then fill out the commitment form, sign up for your phonebanks and campaign calls!
The monthly campaign calls will keep us unified around our shared goals, help us track our progress, and they will be spaces for us to celebrate our wins together and grieve our losses.
Depending on the month, these calls will include political education, skills training, guest speakers, and relationship building with other SURJ members. Hope to see you there!

Block by Block - Phone Bank with SURJ!
Come take action with SURJ! We'll be calling voters about primary races working to elect progressive champions in key states and districts to ultimately take back BOTH the House and Senate this November. These races include:
Will Lawrence, who is an organizer and coalition-builder with experience speaking truth to power and getting results at the local, state and federal level running to represent Michigan Congressional District 7 in Lansing.
Kaela Berg, who is an organizer, flight attendant, union leader with AFA/CWA, and a Minnesota State Representative. She has worked up to three jobs, bought groceries from the dollar store to feed her family, and lived without health insurance during a global pandemic and she is now running to represent Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District with an economic populist message.
