Surge Angels 2026 Information Session

On Thursday, May 8th, from 4 - 4:30 pm, before the official start to Convening, join us for an informational session dedicated to discussing the Surge Angels 2026 curriculum, application process, and programming details.

First-Time Attendee Reception

The first-time attendee reception is an exclusive space for all first-time attendees to connect and celebrate their first time at The Convening! Join us before the formal Convening opening reception.

Cocktails with Strangers

Thursday, May 8th, 9:30 pm | Location TBD

Join us for Cocktails with Strangers—a casual, curated opportunity to connect with fellow alumni and national leaders from across the Surge community. By signing up, you'll be matched with a small group for a hosted reservation, where meaningful conversation and new connections await. Each group will include 1–2 leaders who will help facilitate the space. We’ll take care of the reservation and guest list—just show up ready to vibe, share, and connect across cities.

Alumni Showcase

Friday, May 9th, during lunch | Palomino Ballroom Foyer

The Alumni Showcase is a new offering at The Convening that will take place on Friday, May 9th, during lunch. This showcase is meant to activate the power of the Surge community by showcasing our companies, skills, services, and products. We are making room for our founders, consultants, trainers, authors, and more to share offerings with the Surge community. 

• All showcase vendors will be assigned a table and be provided with table linen and chairs. If selected as a vendor, you must bring all the materials needed to highlight your business.

• Participation in the showcase is free of charge and only open to Surge alumni registered for the 2025 Convening.

Regional Breakout Session/Soul Circle Leads

Saturday, May 10th, 1-2 pm | Various Locations

In Regional Breakouts, alumni will gather by city/region to begin shaping the vision for their local movement work. Together, you'll explore what collective impact could look like in your community and why it matters to be part of a broader national movement. These 60-minute sessions will be held in the form of Soul Circles, providing space for authentic dialogue, connection, and collaboration. We’re looking for 2–3 alumni to lead each regional breakout. Leads will receive a session structure to help guide the conversation. This is a powerful opportunity to help lay the foundation for transformational change in your region.
