Acadience Benchmarks

Acadience provides a series of benchmarks that can evaluate student letter name and sound recognition, phonemic awareness, and comprehension abilities.  The tests are provided for grades K-6.  Each grade page on this site provides delivery instructions, information on benchmark calculations, the student and scoring booklets, and instructions about printing scoring books and student books.   

Rapid Automatic Naming

The Rapid Automatic Naming is a test series for kindergarten and grade 1.  The tests are short, and require students to name pictures, letters, numbers, and colours. Click the RAN Test - K-1 button to find materials that can be used for RAN assessment or for printing a RAN test binder.

ELA Benchmark

The ELA benchmark is a series of assessments to evaluate the word, sound, and comprehension abilities of the students.  The tests shift in focus and content to account for the different skill and knowledge foci of each grade.  Click the appropriate grade button to find materials that can be used for assessment or that can be printed for an Acadience ELA Benchmark binder.
