The kindergarten benchmark is an extensive set of evaluations to check for letter sounds, letter names, phoneme segmentation, and nonsense word recognition. There are a number of different tests, each with different scoring methods. Please take the time to review the delivery instructions and use the benchmark goals following assessment, not all the tests are completed for every assessment period in Kindergarten.
If you would like to create a binder with the content necessary to deliver the tests please prepare the documents according to this table of contents.
Provides a guide for the possibilities of groupings, and benchmarks for scores.
Please print on letter sized paper. You need one copy to reuse with each student. There are three tests in the booklet, to be completed in three sessions over the course of a year. You can either print the entire document to store in the binder for the year, or print the necessary pages for different testing periods throughout the year.
Please use the instructions to print the assessment booklet. You will need to print one copy per student.
Printing the scoring booklets takes a little care, but they turn out really nice. This process is for a Toshiba Printer / Photocopier. Please print to legal sized paper (in landscape).
