The grade 1 benchmark is an extensive set of evaluations to check for letter names, phoneme segmentation, nonsense word recognition, and oral reading fluency. There are a number of different tests, each with different scoring methods. Please take the time to review the delivery instructions and use the benchmark goals following assessment, not all of the assessments are completed in each testing period in Grade 1.
If you would like to create a binder with the content necessary to deliver the tests please prepare the documents according to this table of contents.
Provides a guide for the possibilities of groupings, and benchmarks for scores.
Please print on letter sized paper. You need one copy to reuse with each student. There are three tests in the booklet, to be completed in three sessions over the course of a year. You can either print the entire document to store in a binder for the entire year, or print the necessary pages for each testing period throughout the year.
Please use the instructions to print the assessment booklets. You will need to print one copy of the assessment for each student.
Printing the scoring booklets takes a little care, but they turn out really nice. This process is for a Toshiba Printer / Photocopier. Please print to legal sized paper (in landscape).
