However, DLA is not a traditional academic environment.
While there are opportunities to deliver lectures, our academics spend much of their time designing authentic learning experiences, developing innovative assessments, creating digital learning resources, facilitating collaborative learning, and continuously improving the curriculum to prepare students for an evolving accounting profession.
We believe students learn best when they actively engage with authentic problems rather than simply receiving information. Consequently, our role extends beyond delivering content. We design learning experiences that encourage students to think critically, collaborate effectively, exercise professional judgement and apply digital technologies to solve complex business challenges.
Our academics are educators, curriculum designers, facilitators of learning and lifelong learners. We work collaboratively across modules to create an integrated curriculum that progressively develops the digital, leadership and professional capabilities required of future Chartered Accountants.

Appointments to the Digital- and Leadership Acumen (DLA) Division are division-specific and are not transferable to other academic divisions within the School of Accountancy.
