School Attendance
School Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance has a direct and positive impact on student achievement. Frequent absences and tardies for any reason are almost certain to adversely affect a student’s schoolwork.
Each student is expected to be in school every day except when illness, injury, or some providential condition beyond his/her control prevents attendance.
Georgia law places the responsibility on each student to attend school on a daily basis and the responsibility on each parent or guardian to send their child to school on a daily basis.
