COURSE FEES:
Band Class Fee: $50/semester* ~ BLHS ASB (Due November 1st & March 1st)
This fee covers a majority of student materials and platforms (physical and digital), class ensemble registration fees, hiring of guest artists, hosting of masterclasses, some transportation, etc. This fee tends to be due four weeks after the start of each semester
Marching Uniform Cleaning Fee: $42.50/year ~ BLHS ASB
If any uniform items are lost or damaged, corresponding fines will be applied. This fee tends to be due by the Daffodil Parade. Do not wash them yourselves!
Optional Competitive Field Show Band & Colorguard Fee: $300/season ~ BLHS ASB
As noted in the Field Show Band Contract, each student is responsible for $300 of funding for the Field Show Band. This can be paid for by fundraising through the Band Club (ASB), by paying out-of-pocket, or via a combination of the two. Only students in the competitive Field Show Marching Band are responsible for this fee. Half of this fee is due at the beginning of October, and the other half is due by the beginning of November. If multiple students in the same household march this season, a discount applies!
Percussion/Drumline Usage ($30/semester*) & Instrument Rental Fee ($45/semester*) ~ BLHS ASB
Note: These are required of all students using a school-owned instrument. All BLHS percussionists pay this fee. If students play their own instrument, they do not pay an instrument rental fee. This fee is due by the end of each semester for which the instrument is rented.

Financial Assistance:
We understand that BLHS can be expensive for some students and their families, however the fees are necessary for all Band students to receive the best education and most meaningful experience they can possibly have. For this reason, there are numerous avenues for students and families to off-set all or some of the fees for Band.

ASB & BOOKKEEPER:
For all events run by *students* AND through the school, we go through the BLHS ASB under the title of “Band Club”—a council of students in leadership positions who plan, vote and hold regular meetings about how they want to raise money and use the money. Band Club meets every Tuesday after school at 2:30pm in the Band Room.
