All You Need To Know About Your Home Education Program Plan

• An education program plan is required by Alberta Education as outlined in the Home Education Regulation. 

• It defines your home education program and indicates who the primary person will be to conduct the learning.

• This is a living document and may be updated at any time throughout the year. This is often the case for funding purposes as it must be aligned with the receipts you submit. If you've misplaced the link you received to make changes, your facilitator can provide it to you.

• The plan should be based on the Schedule of Learning Outcomes (SOLO) or you may wish to follow the Alberta Program of Studies (APS).

• Must be approved by your facilitator.

• Please submit by the end of August so that your facilitator has time to review it. If you require assistance, please let your facilitator know. If you are new to By Design and have not yet been assigned a facilitator we provide a later deadline to submit so that you can access support if needed.
