Get to Know Kristy

Kristy has been homeschooling for over 20 years. With some of her children now "grown and flown" and others currently homeschooling through high school, she has come to deeply appreciate the choice families have in Alberta. For Kristy, homeschooling is about creating unique learning journeys for each child, learning alongside them, and embracing the adventures, at home, in the community and around the world. 

As a facilitator, Kristy values coming alongside families, supporting and championing them on their own paths. She believes every family’s homeschooling journey is distinct and meaningful, and she is honoured to be part of it. A lifelong learner herself, Kristy always has a project on the go and delights in the opportunities for growth and discovery that homeschooling provides. She looks forward to walking alongside families and celebrating their learning experiences together.

In her free time, Kristy enjoys travelling, reading, and tackling challenging Sudoku puzzles.
