Q: If I didn't attend 5th grade at Summit can I join the EOP program?
A: No, only students who completed 5th grade at Summit are eligible to continue with the EOP program.
Q: I attended 5th grade at Summit but was enrolled in the Virtual Academy for 6th grade. Can I go back to EOP for 7th grade?
A: No, once a student leaves the EOP program they are not able to return to it.
Q: How do I get my daily attendance contacts? Do I have to submit a weekly jot form?
A: Jotforms are only required for 6th grade in middle school. Our 7th and 8th grade students will gain a daily attendance contact by logging into classes, attending enrichments, sending texts, emails, and meeting with any Summit staff during the day!
Q: How many online classes do I have to take?
A: 6th graders must complete one full class - Math or ELA, 7th graders must complete 2 full classes - Math and ELA, and 8th graders must complete 3 full classes- including Math and ELA. Students can choose to take any subject, including Science, Social Studies, and Health from a variety of curriculum options.
Q: How much curriculum money will I get?
A: 6th graders receive $400, 7th graders receive $300, and 8th graders receive $200. If you would like your student to take an extra online class it will reduce your curriculum budget by $75.
