You’ve put in the practice, now it’s time to really play!  Advanced Band is where our most dedicated players come together to make incredible music. Students will refine their independent playing skills, ensemble techniques, expand their range, and learn to navigate complex rhythms. Recommended for anyone with prior experience.

Beginner Chess

Tournament Chess

Take your game to the next level this summer with our Tournament Chess Club for experienced players. We will move beyond the basics to explore complex opening theories, middlegame tactics, and essential endgame strategies. The central focus of the program is competitive play, introducing students to chess clocks, notation, and official tournament rules.

Jazz Band

 This course will introduce students to the uniquely American art form of jazz. This course moves beyond the "straight" rhythms of classical music to explore swing, blues, funk, rock, and latin styles. Students will develop the technical facility and stylistic "feel" necessary to perform this style of music.  Jazz Band is open to all band instruments in addition to guitar, bass, piano and drum kit. 

Recommended for anyone with experience in band of 2 years of more.

Board Games

Roll the dice on creativity this summer by not just playing games, but inventing your own!. Students will then become designers, brainstorming original themes and drafting rules for their very own tabletop creation.

Cricut Design Lab

This creative course introduces students to hands-on design using a Cricut cutting machine to create personalized, functional, and fun projects. Students will design and produce a variety of physical items such as custom stickers, labels, school organization tools, personalized gifts, and other creative keepsakes.

Dance

Ignite your passion for movement this summer! This high-energy course invites dancers of all levels to explore a dynamic fusion of contemporary, jazz, and urban styles. Students will focus on developing technical precision, physical strength, and expressive storytelling through daily choreography. Students will even have the opportunity to choreograph their own dances!

Zumba

This vibrant, high-energy course blends Latin and international rhythms with easy-to-follow dance moves for a total-body workout that feels like a celebration. No dance experience is required, it's all about moving to the beat and having fun.

Drum Fit

 This high-energy session turns yoga balls and buckets into powerful percussion instruments. It’s the perfect blend of rhythm, coordination, and fitness—allowing students to drum out their favorite beats while getting a full-body workout.

Knitting

Unwind and unleash your creativity in our Knitting Studio, open to everyone from total novices to fiber art pros. Beginners will master the foundational knit and purl stitches needed to create scarves, hats, or simple accessories. Meanwhile, experienced knitters will tackle advanced challenges like intricate cabling, garment shaping, and reading complex charts.

Students will explore the “backstage” world of theatre through a variety of productions and will create design elements related to set, lighting, costuming, hair and makeup, and props based upon the unique needs of each musical.

Ready to move beyond the basics? This course dives deeper. Students will learn how to troubleshoot intricate designs, turning ambitious ideas into functional, high-quality prints.

Recommended for students who have previous experience 3D Printing. 

Podcasting

You will learn to brainstorm unique show concepts, and edit their audio with music and sound effects. Whether they’re hosting a talk show, reporting news, or telling original stories, students will walk away with a polished, shareable podcast episode and the confidence to speak their minds.

Lego Creations

This course challenges you to move beyond instructions, teaching core principles of engineering, structural integrity, and artistic design through various "Build Challenges." Let's see what you can build!
