Before beginning a write long, students need to collect evidence from their books that support the same trait claim. The organizer below shows the trait claim and three pieces of specific text evidence.
2Kers know evidence is specific enough when you can point to it on a page.
Once students have the evidence they need, they can begin crafting by using a fill in the blank organizer. The organizer provides sentence stems and organizational help.
