VISION
Students will become independent musicians and develop trust.
Students will connect to themselves, each other and their community.
Students will experience joy and love through music.
Students will be empowered to use their voice and develop leadership.
It is my expectation that everyone in our class demonstrates a positive outlook, respectful demeanor, and a growth mindset. We will strive to be a classroom of acceptance: neurodiversity affirming and gender inclusive.

I have been teaching orchestra at Spackenkill for 2 decades now. Violin was my first instrument. When I was in middle school I joined an orchestra that set me on the path to where I am today. I loved making music with others and still love it. I am passionate about students and being a guide as they go on their own journey of learning. I believe that love is stronger than fear.
