Course Objectives:

  1. To promote a systematic review of themes, structures, vocabulary and skills in the Spanish language beyond the intermediate level.

  2. To promote awareness and appreciation of cultural similarities and variation throughout the Spanish speaking world.

  3. To develop reading skills through the study of authentic texts, both cultural and literary.

  4. To continue the development of speaking, listening and writing skills through a variety of assignments and class discussions in Spanish. These activities are designed to encourage students to reflect upon, interpret and react to social, personal and environmental topics and current events through movie reviews.

  • Enthusiastically contribute to class activities EVERY DAY not only by raising your hand to volunteer answers, but also actively working during group work and staying on task

  • RESPECT each other’s individuality, privacy, and differences

  • Act respectfully and appropriately during class

  • Find out what you missed and make it up promptly

  • Communicate regularly with the teacher, especially if having difficulties
