What the Pacific Is Facing

The ocean is not only beautiful, but it is also essential to humans. According to www.conservation.org, “The Pacific makes up half of the Earth’s Ocean, is home to more marine species than any other ocean basin on the planet, and provides 70% of the global fish catch.” Even though it is essential to life on Earth, the ocean is being threatened by climate change and pollution, www.unep.org explains. If we want to survive, and save the animals that inhabit the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we need to take action as soon as possible. If the Pacific Ocean were destroyed, the water cycle would perish, and life would struggle as food chains collapsed. In this turn of events, our own life as we know it would be much harder.
