Peer Counseling is a class and support program where students are trained in basic counseling and listening skills to support fellow MV students. It offers a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental space to talk—peer to peer—about anything that’s on your mind.
Whether you’re dealing with stress at home, friend drama, academic pressure, or just need to vent, Peer Counselors are here to listen. We offer one-on-one sessions with a Peer Counselor, conflict mediation to help work through issues with friends, intervention support for students experimenting with alcohol, tobacco, or drugs, and peer mentorship for ongoing support. We also help welcome and connect new students so no one has to feel alone. All sessions are peer to peer, no adults involved.
Sometimes it’s easier to open up to someone your own age—someone who understands what it’s like to be a teenager right now. You don’t need a “big problem” to reach out. If you want to talk, we’re here for you.
