When I started I tried to find a bunch of bright-colored candy. Because I wanted to make something very bright, when I started to draw out I tried to outline the borders of the candy picture to make it look like the real thing the most. Then I started to go color by color to make it as realistic as possible. After i put the colors down i started to blend the colors to make it look real.
