In 2015, we wrote a grant to The Women's Giving Circle to support our students in writing their own play.

We were awarded $10,000 from The Women's Giving Circle, and partnered with The Coterie Theatre to implement the student playwriting cohort for the 2025-2026 school year, with writer Jerry Manan. 

We are sharing our grant with the public, so other schools can look for funding for a similar project. This project made a tremendous impact on our theatre department, our school, and our LatinX students and families. We invite you to explore our work. The students performed 4 amazing shows of Como en Casa and the reviews were fabulous! We could not be more proud of our playwrights, cast, and crew who brought Como en Casa to life!
