Students may take only one Pass/Fall course per semester. If selected as teacher's aides, students cannot be enrolled in guided study or work experience in the same semester.
Students applying to be a Teacher's Aide should use Office Assistant - ZZ510A (1st semester) and/or ZZ510B (2nd Semester) when enrolling and stop by the counseling office to pick up an application.

One or Two Class Periods
Seniors who are in good academic standing may request to have a shortened schedule of 1-2 class periods during second semester. Applications will be available beginning in November of senior year.
Eligibility and Conditions:
Only students in good academic standing are eligible for a shortened schedule.
Students whose first-semester attendance falls below 90% may not be considered.
Students approved for a shortened schedule may not serve as teacher’s aides or enroll in guided study classes during the same semester.
Students planning to attend college are strongly encouraged to complete four years of math and science.
Students are responsible for ensuring their schedules meet all NCAA eligibility requirements.
To remain eligible for spring sports or KSHSAA activities, students must be enrolled in five in-person courses.

Seniors who meet credit requirements may apply for semester graduation.
Steps for Semester Graduation:
Complete the Semester Graduation application (available in April of junior year).
Be on track to graduate with no need for credit recovery when school begins in August.
Complete the English 4B requirement prior to the end of 1st semester of senior year.
Meet with a parent/guardian and your counselor to discuss semester graduation before the end of the semester.
Semester Grads::
May NOT participate in KSHAA-sponsored activities after December.
May participate in senior activities outside of school.
May participate in graduation in May.
Important Considerations:
Freshman Scholarships: Spring enrollment at JCCC (or another postsecondary institution) prior to fall enrollment at the same or a different university may affect eligibility. Check with your intended colleges to confirm.
Other Impacts: Car insurance, medical coverage, Social Security benefits, NCAA eligibility, etc.
