Above is our movie and storyboard. It was made on iMovie. If you haven't already watched it, well, what are you reading this for?
The Calculations are in the video on a whiteboard- feel free to watch the video and pause it at the points where they are shown.
Our goal for this project was to improve the understanding of catching and throwing in ULTIMATE FRISBEE. The one thing I learned on this project was that the best way a group can work is to hear everyone out and remember that everyone is equal. At a certain point in 'the process' of completing our project, we were at a disagreement for what object we would want to use to compare the force/newtons catching the frisbee would equate too. Daniel and I wanted to use clown noses, don't ask why. Selina was defiant in NOT wanting clown noses. Daniel and I decided that maybe having clown noses was not the best option for the betterment of the group and we collaborated with Selina and made a decision as a team. We chose to do chromebooks which is way better than clown noses. We easily could've just ignored her and done what we wanted because we already had done the math and wouldn't want to restart.
"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much,"- Helen Keller.
Two things I felt I could have done better were being more focused on working on thinsg the group wanted and second, making more of an effort while running the calculations. I felt I made somewhat of an effort in both things but I could have contributed so much more. Once the three of us really started working together as a team, nothing could stop us. Two things I felt I did well was listen to other's ideas and coming up with things for us to do, staying efficient and trying to be different than other groups. The idea of classical music was mine. I felt the audience would appreciate a little Vivaldi or Scott Joplin- "Maple Leaf Rag." To conclude this project, I loved my group, I loved 'the process," and I especially loved the finished product because we all played a major role in the project. Hope you like(d) the movie!
