Planetary Models

Description:

For this project, we were asked to create models and equations for data that we were given. For the model 4, we made a slideshow that explained why the escape velocity of planets is higher when the gravity is higher. We answered multiple questions, like the escape velocity of a made up planet, or Planet X, the relationship between gravity and escape velocity, and how the mass of the planet affects the escape velocity. For model 5, we found how the positioning and size of the planet affects different things about it, like how the mass of the planet increases gravitational pull, and how the distance to the sun affects the temperature. We also found the force of gravity and the time it takes to orbit for 3 planets. 

In my opinion, I think we did a good job showing how different things affect other parts of the planet, and I learned how to calculate force of gravity and orbit period. I learned a lot about atoms and how the universe works. I would like to improve my critical thinking for the next project. It was a bit confusing sometimes, but I think it was a good unit still.
