Marine Geology Brochure

For this project we were asked to create an underwater hotel in a place of your choice. We had to create a brochure advertising the resort. I decided to make my resort in the middle of the Caribbean Ocean. I called my resort the Caribbean Sea Resort. We had to include 8 geographical features that you could see or visit from the hotel. The 8 that I used are coral reefs, volcanoes, seamounts, rift valleys, black smokers, deep sea floor, trenches, and ridges. In order to make my hotel sound appealing I added amenities such as a casino, pools, and a movie theatre. There are a couple excursions that the people staying at the hotel can take such as a snorkeling trip and a submarine tour.

Reflection: One thing I did well during this project was brainstorming. I came up with some good ideas for my hotel location and what to put in the hotel. I brainstormed some good ideas for excursions and activities for the people staying at the hotel. Another thing I did well was have good work ethic. I stayed focused throughout the whole project and got my work done on time. I did all the requirements for the project and made sure my work was quality. An example of me showing a good work ethic is staying on task throughout the whole work period. 

One thing I could have done better is take more time on my drawings. I am not very good at drawing so I went through them pretty quick. I could have improved my drawings by watching tutorial videos. Another thing I could have improved is doing more research on the ocean features so that I can include more information about them in my brochure.
