Break It Apart!

The Break it Apart project was a fun, entertaining project to start the year. Our first task was to bring in an object from around our house that we could dissasemble. I personally brought a play station 4 controller. The next class period we learned about exploded view sketches and were tasked to create the same for our own object.

My first struggle with taking apart my controller was finding all the screws. Some screws were tucked away and very hard to see. One success I found while taking apart my controller was finding the mother board and removing it. The motherboard had a lot of components attatched to it but I managed to remove it fairly easily.

My exploded view sketch was fairly good. I labeled all the parts and where they were located. I also wrote down numbers from the mother board. I wish I could have gone back and looked at every number to see what they represent.

Overall this was a very fun project. I liked this project because it was very hands on. Two things I succeeded in during this project were my time management and execution. I fully disasembled the product and completed my work on time. Two things I struggled with during this project were attention to detail and neatness. I should have written down the labels on the mother board and also couldve have organized all the parts.
