Solve a World problem
Our solution
The hypothetical solution my group came up with was creating a drone that can drop seeds native to the regions we drop them into, and we though that if we could do this successfully, we would be growing a lot more trees than the ones being cut down. We would do this by having the drone solar power generated, to help with emissions, we would also create our own seeds made of charcoal and different nutrients. We would also make a canopy for the seeds to be dropped.

The engineering design cycle consists of the following steps...
Ask : Identify the need and constraints
Research : Research the problem
Imagine : Develop possible solutions
Plan : Select a promising solution
Create : Build a prototype
Test : Test and evaluate prototype
Improve : Redesign as needed
Our team used these steps by first, identifying our problem (deforestation). Second we conducted research on our problem and then looked for any reliable and possible solutions. We selected our drone idea as our most promising solution and then built a prototype made of cardboard. We tested our drone to see if it would drop seeds, which it did and finally we did a little bit of critiquing the design.
Reflection
Overall, I really enjoyed this project and especially my group. We all worked together greatly and we were able to get a lot of work done while having fun. Two things I think I did well in this project was leadership and work ethic. Two things I think I could work on for the next project is, listening to others a little more and to not worry as much about things during the project.
