We are learning about it so we can maximize our potential in our career and life, to understand ourselves and develop goals and find ways to attain those goals, as well as so we can use what ́s unique about us.
D.) WHICH OF THE 6 “C’s” ARE WE FOCUSING ON AND WHICH COMPONENTS OF THAT “C” ARE WE PRACTICING SPECIFICALLY?
We are focusing on conscientious learning — specifically how to manage time effectively, how to advocate for ourselves and take responsibility for learning, as well as practicing self-reflection and self-regulation
1.) STEADINESS- Looking at your DISC summary on your Indigo report- What does the “S” stand for and what behavior does it relate to? (As in what does it mean?)
Steadiness — how well a person reacts to pace/change variation.
2.) STEADINESS- Looking at your DISC summary- A.) Identify if you are a “High” or a “Low” –Steadiness and list your “score”. B.) List 4 characteristics of that “type” of Steadiness. C.) Write a statement as to how those characteristics may have “hurt” you or how they have not allowed you to do things. (AKA seen as a negative.)
Low steadiness — 38. Restless, spontaneous, change-oriented, flexible. These characteristics would help in a career that is unpredictable — like a police officer, or ER doctor. They would hinder my ability to work in an office.
3.) COMPLIANCE- Looking at your DISC summary on your Indigo report- What does the “C” stand for and what behavior does it relate to? (As in what does it mean?)

A “bridge” holds behavioral styles together. If one is in the bridge — 40-60 on DISC — they are likely highly adaptable, and look to help their team succeed. On the 30-70 bridge, all my scores are included, however, on the 40-60 bridge, none of my scores are included. People in the bridge are better at adapting, however, they are likely to be more unpredictable and unreliable.

When these driving forces align with your career choices, you are far more likely to feel rewarded and professionally satisfied.
E.) What is more important A.) What you do? Or Why you do it ? B.) Why do you think that is so?

My top motivator is theoretical; rewards those who value knowledge for knowledge’s sake, continuing education and intellectual growth. For me, it is all about continuous learning. I value knowledge and should pursue a career in science or math because there is always more to learn and discover.
8. Identify your 2nd Top Motivator and describe it- A.) What’s it all about for you? B.) What do you really value? C.) What should you be asking yourself when you consider a job or career?
My 2nd top motivator is individualistic; rewards those who value personal recognition, freedom, and control over their own destiny and others. For me, it is all about freedom; I like to set my own hours and work when I want. A career that might suit me in this milieu could be an author, or some sort of self-employed career in business or whatnot.

They form thoughts and ideas.

Dendrites require existing structures to grow from, and they can only grow when you are actively doing something.
8. So… if you’re having trouble learning a new skill, what should you do?
Connect it to something you already know.
9. What’s the best way to develop soft skills?
The best way to develop soft skills is to practice them.
10. (Ted X) What did the readers who took a speed reading course show us?
They showed us that abilities foreign to our native systems are abilities we can never master, and, by trying to improve them, we will become less productive in our native skills. However, we can still improve in them.
11. What’s the 80/20 rule?
The 80/20 rule separates the good from the great, and states that 80% of our output comes from 20% of our effort. However, getting that extra 20% output takes 80% of our effort.
12. How does it relate to you? Explain the idea.
It relates to me because, in school, when I learn something or do something, I can easily do a proficient job. But, if I want to do a great job, it’s a lot more work than just doing the bare minimum requirement.
Look at what you have written and review everything you have learned about yourself in regard to your “work values”, behaviors, skills, strengths and motivators- then identify 2 career paths you would like to “explore”. List each career path and write as to how that career path satisfies your Motivators, Skills, Strengths, and DISC Behaviors.
My top Motivator, theoretical, indicates that continuous learning would be a must have for me.
My second Motivator, individualistic, indicates that freedom would also be either a must have or a high want for me.
Look at what you have written and review everything you have learned about yourself in regard to your Indigo summary and your “Work Values” document- then identify 2 career paths you would like to “explore”.
One career path I would like to explore would be a theoretical physicist. Another I would like to explore would be an astronomer.
