For this project we started by brainstorming ideas for sports. We decided to do skateboarding and Orion demonstrated how to do an Ollie. We got a bunch of calculations and recordings that were put together to make our video
Here's our work log over the past 2 weeks. We got most of the introduction recordings done pretty fast but recording the calculations took a bit longer. We did mess up a few calculations but in the end Orion corrected them.
With this we were able to tell which day we did what and what we needed to do to get our project to the greatest it could be
Content and calculations
Vertical Velocity- The speed you move on the y-axis, the
Horizontal velocity- The speed you move on the x-axis. We used a video off the web to find this and calculated the velocity to be 2.89 m/s. The guy from the video was going 6.7 mi/hr
Total velocity- The complete velocity we found was
Force of impact- Force when board is touching ground,
Conversation of momentum- The momentum remains constant,

My group and I went off our work log and story board. My group was open to one another and we were all comfortable with one another. We had things to tell each other and help each other with. Even though Orion did most and carried our group we all helped with things too. I think every group has a group leader and I'm glad ours was Orion. Picking our sport wasn't hard and we all immediately came up with ideas. Our group wanting to be different and original, Orion said he could try and do Ollie's which actually worked well.
We managed everything pretty well and never felt behind. We each had a job that we would do and got it all done. If I had to do one thing different it would probably be to pay more attention when learning how to do the calculations. I didn't understand how to do it so I couldn't help with that during our project. I would also try to talk to my group more about what else we could do to make it better because sometimes we'd just be sitting there doing nothing.
In future projects what id do differently is try to engage more with the project and share more ideas. I could help more with what needs to be done instead of sitting back and not helping to the max. Looking back there were many times where I should have done or helped more when neither me or some of the people in my group did. One person in my group just carried the whole group. Next time we need to make sure we're all doing the same amount and split up all the work somewhat evenly.
